Q What is the maximum weight of person the MS600 can lift?

A The Motorstep can lift a person of a maximum 20 stone / 280lbs / 125kg in weight.

Q How high can the MS600 lift a person?

A the Motorstep can lift a person to a maximum height of 60cm/ 24 inches.

Q How high is the platform off the ground when you first step onto it?

A The platform is extremely low starting at just 1.5 inches/40mm from the ground.

Q How is the MS600 powered?

A The Motostep is a 12 volt machine and can be powered from the leisure battery on your

caravan/motorhome or a separate portable 12 volt battery with the supplied cable.

Q Can the Motorstep be powered by the 12 volt circuit in a caravan/Motorhome?

A We do not recommend powering the Motorstep from the 12 volt circuit in your vehicle as

the Motorstep can draw up to 14 amps and if used in conjunction with other electrical appliances

may take the total amperage over 20 amps and overload the circuit.

Q Can the Motorstep be used in the rain?

A Yes the Motorstep is fully weather proof and is safe to use in the rain. The platform is

made from aluminium checker plate to stop slippage. The body of the machine is weather proof

and all switches and controls are made from industry approved weather proof type.

Q Can the motor step be used on grass?

A If the Motorstep is used on grass we recommend the Motorstep is situated on a board of

1/4 inch PLY or MDF to provide a firm footing.

Q What do I do if the Motorstep is on uneven ground?

A Motorstep does require a level base for safe operation, we recommend the Motorstep is

situated an a 1/2 inch PLY of MDF board which can be levelled up with some small packing pieces

to provide a stable level platform.

Q Can the Motorstep be powered from the home power sockets?

A Yes the Motorstep can be powered from the home sockets with our home voltage to 12

volt power supply. We can provide country specific power supplies. 

Q How much does the MS600 weigh?

A The Motorstep weighs 23kg / 48lbs and has wheels fitted for easy

manoeuvrability.

Q Is the Motorstep VAT exempt in the UK?

A The Motorstep is VAT exempt in the UK for registered disabled people or people with a

chronic illness that stops them carrying out an everyday task. Any Motorstep shipped outside the

UK will be VAT free but maybe subject to local taxes and duties in the residents country.

Q Where is the Motorstep available to purchase?

A The Motorstep is available to purchase direct from us here at Motorstep, We ship free to

the UK and to the rest of the world at very reasonable rates.

Q Do you provide a home demonstration?

A We can provide home demonstrations in the United Kingdom location depending, we also

have a demonstration area at our UK factory for customers to try out the Motorstep at a mock up of

a caravan/Motorhome entrance. Contact us for details of a home demonstration.

Q Can the Motorstep be used within the home?

A Yes the Motorstep can be used within the home, some examples may be to overcome a

step between two rooms, gaining access to the garden, lifting into a shower, lifting into a high bed,

anywhere where a step may be a problem.

Q Is there anything to hold onto while the step moves?

A Yes the handles on the central column will rise in tandem with the platform providing

support for the user.

Q Can the Motorstep trap anything under the lifting platform?

A No, the Motorstep is fitted with safety edges that automatically stop decent if an object is

detected.

Q What do I do if the power fails and I cannot power the motor step?

A The Motorstep is fitted with an emergency hand wind socket located in the control column

that can be used to raise or lower the platform in the event of a power failure.

Q Does the MS600 have its own rechargeable batteries

A The Motorstep MS600 freedom model has its own lithium ion battery for power.

Q Does the Motorstep lifting platform come in different sizes?

A No, we only make one size of platform for the Motorstep which is a size of 450mm X

350mm / 18inches X 14 inches

Q My Motorhome has 2 steps inside the door?

A Many motorhomes have a second internal step, we recommend infilling the footwell so

that the motor step lifts the person to the height of the second internal step.

A the Motorstep can lift a person to a maximum height of 80cm/ 32 inches.

Q How high is the platform off the ground when you first step onto it?

A The platform is extremely low starting at just 1.5 inches/40mm from the ground.

Q How is the MS800 powered?

A The MS800  is A 12volt  machine and can be powered by the leisure battery on the vehicle or powered from a socket using the 230v/110v power supply. The MS800 freedom model is powered by its own lithium ion battery. 

Q How long will the MS800 Freedom battery pack last?

A The MS800 battery pack will lift a person of 20stone 150 times before it requires a recharge.

Q Can the Motorstep be used in the rain?

A Yes the Motorstep is fully weather proof and is safe to use in the rain. The platform is

made from aluminium checker plate to stop slippage. The body of the machine is weather proof

and all switches and controls are made from industry approved weather proof type. The battery is weather proof.

Q Can the Motorstep be used on grass?

A If the Motorstep is used on grass we recommend the Motorstep is situated on a board of
